Life CycleKingfishers can lay 3-6 eggs. They lay their eggs in November- February every year from the age of one year. Their eggs hatch after 18 days and the chicks will stay in the nest for up to 24 days. They become a fully grown adult at the age of one year. They grow to a length of 9.5 inches with a wingspan of 11.5 -13.5 inches depending on the type of Kingfisher. They grow to a weight of 1-2 oz. Nobody knows what age they can grow up to but most get to 6-10 years old before they die.
